Star circuit 7 days, 6 nights, 5 days of walking

 

 

An exceptional stay in the grandiose landscapes of the Ordesa/Monte Perdido National Park :. You will discover the largest canyons in Europe: Ordessa and Añisclo, you will take old paths to climb to belvederes with breathtaking views under the summit of Mondoto or Pelopin. You end your stay by the valley of Otal.

Program :

 

Day 1 – Welcome and hike on the balcony of Mt. Perdu

Arrival at the end of the day at your hotel in Torla, a pretty little village nestled at the foot of the National Park

Briefing for the week and welcome drink.

 

Day 2 – The Grand Canyon of Ordesa

Transfer by car to the Pradera d'Ordesa, starting point for a magnificent hike in the Canyon of Ordessa, the largest in Europe! We go up by a good path letting us discover the many waterfalls of the Rio Ara

Transfer by car: 30 minutes

Walking time: +/- 6 hours

Positive altitude difference: + 450 m

Negative elevation: -450 m

 

Day 3 – Anisclo Canyon Belvedere

Short trip to the village of Nerin. From this typical Pyrenean village, we climb towards the Mondoto pass which dominates the magnificent canyon of Anisclo. We then walk through the Estives with breathtaking views of the summit of Mt Perdu.

Return by a pretty path in the middle of the moor.

Transfer by car: 45 minutes

Walking time: +/- 6 hours

Positive altitude difference: + 750 m

Negative elevation: - 750m

Day 3 – El Pelopin 2005m

Short transfer and departure for the pretty summit of Pelopin. With its modest altitude, it is nevertheless a spectacular belvedere on the Ordesa massif and on the plateaus of the Sierra de Guara.

Walking time: +/- 4 hours

Positive altitude difference: + 600 m

Day 5 – The Añisclo Canyon

Transfer to Sercué, a small village located very close to Nerin, we will discover the gorges of the Añisclo canyon from below, they are impressive! Throughout the hike, you discover a mill, an old hermitage and other traces of life in these valleys.

Return via the village of Sercué

Transfer by car: 50 minutes

Walking time: +/- 6 hours (possibilities to shorten the route)

Positive altitude difference: + 500 m

Negative elevation: -500 m

Day 6 – Otal Valley

Court transfer to St Nicolas de Burajuelo, you go up by an easy route to the valley of Otal, wide and impressive, it looks like the alpine valleys. The gentleness of the meanders of the river and the marmots invite contemplation for this final day!

 

Transfer by car: 45 minutes

 

Walking time: +/- 5 hours (possibilities to extend the route)

Positive altitude difference: + 500 m

Negative elevation: -500 m

Day 7 – End of stay

Departure after breakfast

Terms and conditions

 

Level :

There are 5 days of walking without any other porterage than the business of the day. The circuit takes place on an almost entirely marked route, and always on well-marked paths.

Do not rely on the times indicated. Indeed, depending on the level(s) of group(s), we can shorten or lengthen the routes.

Walking times vary from 4 to 6 hours depending on your pace.

 

Management :

By qualified mountain guides who know the country and its history perfectly.

 

Accommodation:

6 nights In a hotel: in a double room with private bathrooms.

The selected hotels are 2 or 3* in terms of room quality. The furniture is simple but practical,

and the decoration has a local charm that is friendly and family friendly.

Food and water:

For drinks, you have the contents of your water bottle. Remember to fill it every morning before leaving. Otherwise, you can buy mineral water in your accommodations

. Do not drink the water from the canyons, it is unfit for consumption.

 

Dinners and breakfasts:

They are taken from accommodation. They are plentiful. These are most often typical Spanish meals, consisting of a starter, a main course (meat or fish + starches + cooked vegetables), and a dessert.

In Spain, drinks (wine, mineral water) are often included in the menus, this information will be mentioned on your reservation.

Lunches: Not included in the price, many shops nearby.

Group of 12 people minimum

This stay includes:

Supervision by a mountain guide

Full board accommodation.

Drinks not included in the menus, insurance, personal expenses (drinks, etc.). Also excluded are transport to get to the meeting point as well as transfers to get to the various starting points of the hikes.
