Surely the most magnificent region of our Pyrenees ! The circus of Gavarnie, Troumouse, Estaubé. The Pic du Taillon, the Breche de Rolland, Le Vignemale and Lac de Gaube, evocative names for all lovers of Pyreneism.
We offer you the most beautiful hikes that the great sites of the Gaves valley offer us.
Program :
Day 1 – Reception at your Hotel
The meeting is given at the end of the afternoon at your hotel in Luz St Sauveur (depending on availability)
Welcome drink, Briefing and meal.
Day 2 – The great waterfall of Gavarnie via the Espuguettes refuge
Transfer by car for a departure from the village of Gavarnie
The climb to the Espuguettes refuge will not leave you indifferent, the view of the circus is breathtaking!
Snack in the middle of summer pastures and marmots to then descend towards the circus towards a magnificent balcony path.
The arrival in the heart of the circus, under the great waterfall (the highest in Europe) is the icing on the cake!!!

Day 3 - Cirque de Troumouse
Transfer to arrive at the Chapel of Héas from where you leave for a hike in the largest circus of the Pyrenees!
You go up by an old transhumance path where it is not uncommon to observe the Isard and the essential marmot!

Day 4 – Refuge des Oulettes and Lac de Gaube from the Pont d'Espagne.
A very beautiful hike to the mythical north face of Vignemale, the highest peak in the French Pyrenees, passing by the poetic Lac de Gaube, a source of inspiration for Victor Hugo.

On the way back, visit Cauterets
Day 5 – Lacs dets Coubous.
You leave from the ski resort of Baréges and by a good mule track, you will swallow the 500 meters of difference in height which separates you from the lake (dam). You will then make a loop of several lakes with an unusual view of the summit of Néouvielle.
13km, 650m D+
Day 6 – Sarradets or La Bréche refuge
To end the week, you will climb from the Col de Tente to the Sarradets refuge to admire the Breche de Roland.
9km, 400m D+

Terms and conditions
Level :
There are 5 days of walking without any other porterage than the business of the day. The circuit takes place on an almost entirely marked route, and always on well-marked paths.
Do not rely on the times indicated. Indeed, depending on the level(s) of group(s), we can shorten or lengthen the routes.
Walking times vary from 4 to 6 hours depending on your pace.
Management :
By qualified mountain guides who know the country and its history perfectly.
Accommodation :
5 nights In a hotel: in a double room with private bathrooms.
The selected hotels are in terms of quality of rooms or service. The furniture is simple but practical,
Option: Vacation Club in 1/2 board. or group accommodation.
food and water :
For drinks, you have the contents of your water bottle. Remember to fill it every morning before leaving. Otherwise, you can buy mineral water in your accommodations
. Do not drink spring water, it may be unfit for consumption.
Dinners and breakfasts :
They are taken from accommodation. They are plentiful. These are usually typical meals, consisting of a starter, a main course (meat or fish + starches + cooked vegetables), and a dessert.
Drinks (wine, mineral water) are often included in the menus, this information will be mentioned on your reservation.
Lunches: 1/2 board formula. Picnics are at your expense (supermarkets and shops nearby)
The packed lunch can also be ordered at the hotel.
