The Aran Valley : The jewel of the Pyrenees !
The Aran Valley is not quite Spain, not quite France, but endowed with a strong Occitan identity this valley is unique ! The landscapes are sumptuous, the architecture and heritage have been preserved despite the strong urban pressure of the place.
We suggest you do the most beautiful hikes that this valley has to offer.
Program :
Day 1 – Reception at your Hotel
Meeting at the end of the afternoon at your hotel located in the center of the village of Vielha, capital of the Aran Valley, it is also, for the Spanish Pyreneist, the " Chamonix of the Catalan Pyrenees.
Day 2 – Baciver Lakes
Departure from Pla de Beret towards the Baciver lakes.
The ascent in the middle of the glacial locks, will not leave you indifferent, the beautiful granite slabs where the mountain pines nest there offer you a spectacular landscape all along this ascent which leads us to the Baciver circus.

Day 3 - Cap des Closós i tuc de Miei
Short transfer to arrive at Pla de Beret, we climb up a path that gradually leads us to the ponds of Closós, the climb is more difficult to reach the summit of Cap dels Closós 2417m. The 360º panorama is breathtaking!!! The view stretches from the Ariège peaks, Encantats and Maladeta.
The descent is made by the crest of the Miei tuc

Day 4 – Vall de Boi and Ventosa Refuge
We pass on the southern slope of the massif through the Vielha tunnel to reach the Boi Valley.
From the Cavallers lake/dam, we climb surrounded by peaks over three thousand meters high to arrive at Negre lake and Travessany. Idyllic setting surrounded by many granitic needles, this hike will not leave you indifferent.
11km, 525m elevation gain
Day 5 – Vall de Tredos and Colomers circus.
Short transfer by car to arrive in the Tredos valley where we go up the magnificent valley towards the refuge and lakes of Colomers, where we will go around a small part of the countless lakes that make up the circus !
13km, 550m vertical gain
Day 6 – Estany de Gerber / Easy level
Transfer to the southern slope of the Col de la Bonaigua to discover the Estany de Gerber round trip, a pretty heart-shaped lake in the middle of a setting of flowery moor and groves
9km, 400m D+

Terms and conditions
Level :
There are 5 days of walking without any other portage than the business of the day. The circuit takes place on an almost entirely marked route, and always on well-marked paths.
Do not rely on the times indicated. Indeed, depending on the level(s) of group(s), we can shorten or lengthen the routes.
Walking times vary from 4 to 6 hours depending on your pace.
Management :
By qualified mountain guides who know the country and its history perfectly.
Accommodation:
5 nights In a 3-star hotel, in a double room with private bathrooms.
Food and water:
For drinks, you have the contents of your water bottle. Remember to fill it every morning before leaving. Otherwise, you can buy mineral water in your accommodations
Do not drink spring water, it may be unfit for consumption.
Dinners and breakfasts:
They are taken from accommodation. They are plentiful. These are most often typical Spanish meals, consisting of a starter, a main course (meat or fish + starches + cooked vegetables), and a dessert.
In Spain, drinks (wine, mineral water) are often included in the menus, this information will be mentioned on your reservation.
Midday meals: It is to be prepared by you
A picnic can be provided by the host at the price of 8€, it consists of: 2 sandwiches, water and a dessert.

This stay includes:
5 days of hiking
Supervision by one or more mountain guide(s), knowing the country perfectly.
Accommodation in a double room in a comfortable 3-star hotel
Half-board stay from the evening meal of the 1st day to the breakfast of the 6th day.
Wine included with the evening meal.
It does not include: insurance, personal expenses (drinks, etc.).
Picnic provided by the Hotel (2 sandwiches + fruit + water) 8€
Also excluded is transport to get to the meeting point. In addition, supplements due to a major modification of the program are the responsibility of the customer whose prior agreement will, of course, have been requested.
